Graphing Reflection

My aquarium
I found this weeks graphing exercise to be very useful to me.  Up until now I have had absolutely no experience with Microsoft excel and now see how useful it can be to me both with this class and in other classes which i will be compiling data.  As for the graphing part itself i was already quite familiar with the graphs we were showed except for the stacked column.  I believe this will be a neat graph for me to put to use at some point.

As for my semester project I am still having a hard time narrowing down to a feasibly topic.  I am really wanting to focus my studies around coral but since they are such a slow growing, sensitive animal I keep seeing time constraints as being an issue.  If any one has any ideas for me feel free to let me know.  And if anyone was also looking at coral as a subject we could maybe partner up for the project as I know quite a bit about the care requirements of coral.

  1. Rather than focusing in on coral, how about developing a scientific question associated with something to do with saltwater aquariums. E.g., which fish work best or which product is most effective to achieve a desired goal. Since I've never had a saltwater aquarium there is a lot I don't understand. In fact, I might have to take advantage of your knowledge and experience and learn how to create one for the IMES lab.
