Amanda, UR, To sample or not to sample

I did find what appears to be an informative site on water sampling that lists equipment needed along with methodology.

I will be able to elaborate on the topic after I've had more time to research it.

As some of you know, my intent is to sample the water in the little lake near my house because I've been quite curious as to what chemical run off is spilling, seeping, and leaping into the waters there. I'm thankful for the opportunity to work on this project. It should be interesting what I find and hopefully I will be able to inform the neighbors in a "nice" way as to what the impact is on our natural water ways.

Education can mean preservation.

  1. Amanda--would you please tell us more about this lake? How big is it? Is it natural or man-made? If it's man-made, how are these lakes/ponds built and how deep are they?
